Singer-songwriter Louis Tomlinson rose to fame as part of the band One Direction (formed on the 2010 series of The X Factor UK). Although finishing in third place, their talent, appeal and dedicated fan base ensured they were quickly signed by Syco Music. This signing signalled the beginning of a whirlwind five years, resulting in five chart-topping albums and four world-wide headline tours, cementing them as one of the most successful bands in history.
In 2015, the band announced that they would be going on hiatus, allowing the individual members to explore their own solo endeavours.
On December 10, 2016, Louis released his debut single 'Just Hold On', a collaboration with world renowned DJ and EDM Artist, Steve Aoki. The single was an immediate sensation, reaching #1 in 43 countries and dominating the Pop and Dance Charts across the globe.
July 21, 2017 marks the release of Louis Tomlinson's chart-topping song titled 'Back To You', a collaboration with popstar Bebe Rexha and British producer Nick Gale (Digital Farm Animals). Tomlinson's second single stood strong in 29 of the world's top 40 charts, including Billboard, and received 8 certifications.
After two incredible releases, fans of Louis anticipated a song that starred solely Louis' voice. 'Just Like You' is the song the fans had been waiting for, a song Tomlinson deems is 'for the fans', released on October 11, 2017.
'Miss You' is the Tomlinson song that followed suit, released on December 1, 2017. The pop-punk melody accompanied by Tomlinson's stunning vocals resulted in a hit single that unsurprisingly opened in the top 10 of worldwide charts.
Whilst Tomlinson is known for his undeniable talent in the realm of singing and songwriting, his charitable endeavours add an entire new dimension to his character. As a philanthropist, Louis is a patron for / participant of charities such as Sport and Comic Relief, Nordoff Robbins, Save the Children (Action/1D project), The Eden Dora Trust, and Greenpeace.
Louis' musical journey continues as he aims to release solo records under worldwide record labels Syco Entertainment (UK) and Epic Records (US).
