If The Shoe Fits....

Looking back on the early years of One Direction, it could be argued that their fashion style was questionable, some would even say borderline cringe-worthy. Matching themed outfits, pants worn halfway down their thighs (how did they even stay up?), popped collars, bow-ties and braces (alright, we'll admit the braces hold a special place in our hearts). Fast forward 7 years, and their fashion style is worlds away from these awkward beginnings. Aside from the changes in their style however, there has been another notable shift by one member of the band, and this shift has occurred below the ankles.... First he shunned wearing socks, then shoes seemed to suffer the same fate, but now Louis Tomlinson, our favorite barefoot-Donny-lad seems to be making up for lost time, embracing footwear in his own special way.

If you've been paying any attention at all to Louis Tomlinson's social media activity for the last few months, you may have noticed a certain recurring theme to his posts, likes and follows across Twitter and Instagram. Shoes. Lots and lots of shoes. So what is this interest in footwear fashion all about?

This pattern appears to have started back in February with a seemingly innocuous post taken in LA with his feet up on the dashboard of his Range Rover, his Converse All Star High Tops taking pride of place in the picture. But that was really just the beginning....

The theme seems clear, whether you call them sneakers, joggers or runners - Louis loves his shoes. Converse, Vans, Puma, Nike, Adidas, Yeezy, Fila, Reebok, Gucci, and Common Projects and that's just in the last four months. Our heads are spinning with the sheer amount of activity, he even liked two different Instagram posts of the same 'Anti Social Social Club x Vans Vault' high tops.

One thing is certain though, we're a long way from the Louis Tomlinson who didn't like his shoes to be "brand spanking new" because they looked weird....
