November has been a good month for Louis Tomlinson fans, after performing a banging set at Key 103 Live in Manchester where he premiered his next single "Miss You”, he then won Best UK & Ireland Act at the MTV EMAs! But the month isn’t over yet, with his highly anticipated appearance at the Royal Variety Performance on November 24th and the potential for “Miss You” to be officially released towards the end of the month there is still a lot to look forward to!
Key 103 Live Manchester
November 9 saw Louis headline Key 103 Live in Manchester. It was a moment of jubilation for Louis Tomlinson fans who had been eagerly anticipating his next live performance since he left the iHeartRadio Festival stage in September.
During the lead up to the event it was hard to decide who was more excited, fans of Tomlinson’s who could not wait to see him take to the stage on his own, or the man himself, overjoyed with the knowledge that he would be performing on stage with a live band.
Louis' performance was something else, beginning his four-song set with a powerful performance of his latest release "Just Like You", followed by "Back To You", singing the track by himself for the first time, commanding the stage and making it his own. His third song for the evening was One Direction's "Little Back Dress", a long awaited cover and crowd favorite. Taking a break in his set, he used the opportunity to reach out to the fans and thank them for their tireless support “thank you to anyone and everyone who's ever supported me. Because honestly, that's the reason I'm able to get up here and do this.”
Louis ended his set by introducing and performing his yet to be released new single, "Miss You". The vibrant visual effects which represented his character were paired with his high energy performance and memorable lyrics left us pining for its’ official release.
MTV European Music Awards (MTV EMAs)
November 12 gave us the MTV EMA's, or more importantly, the announcement of the award winners.
The MTV EMA for Best UK & Ireland Act was fan voted, as were the nominees, and with the prospect of helping Louis win his first solo award, fans put their best "finger" forward and got to work.
Fans sent out countless tweets to secure Louis’ nomination and when they had successfully achieved that, they banded together once again as a determined unit to vote non-stop over the period of five weeks. When there were technical difficulties surrounding the voting links with two days to go fans reached out to one another in order to find alternative ways to get their votes through. It is a testimony to the relationship Tomlinson has secured with his fanbase; more of a kinship than a fan-to-artist relationship. Seeing Louis win his very first award as a solo artist made the constant voting more than worth it and cemented the ideology that teamwork does in fact make the dream work.
Royal Variety Performance
November 24 will see Tomlinson take the stage at London's Palladium Theatre for the Royal Variety Performance (RVP). This year the event will be hosted by Miranda Hart and will include performances by The Killers, Paloma Faith, The Script, Seal, and James Blunt amongst others.
The event will be broadcast on TV in December to an estimated audience of more than 150 million people.
This will be Tomlinson’s first solo performance at the RVP and is a huge acknowledgement of his star power. He has previously performed at the RVP on multiple occasions as part of One Direction.

Tomlinson surprised many by debuting his new single "Miss You" as part of his set at Key 103 Live in Manchester on November 9. Fans quickly went into overdrive trying to piece together the lyrics from low quality periscope sessions and other fan videos posted on social media.
During his red carpet interviews at Key, he announced that the single was on track for a release within a couple of weeks. This was hotly followed by reports coming out of LA on November 17 that he was shooting a music video. People on set and part of the rumored shoot posted updates on social media alluding to their involvement and hinted to Tomlinson's friends also being in the video, similar to how family and friends were part of his Back To You music video.
Whilst a release date has yet to be officially announced, many fans have calculated that Friday November 24 is the most likely date for the song to drop. Further support for this was given when Genius Lyrics assigned the same date, however we will all just have to wait with baited breath until its official release.
