Louis Tomlinson returned to his home town of Doncaster last week - the second time this month - with all evidence pointing to the fact that his visits have been to complete a photo shoot and film at least one music video, perhaps even two.
His first visit, based on reports and social media activity, appears to have been a photo shoot, starting off in London on May 2 and then heading north to Doncaster on May 8. As fans wait with baited breath, theories run wild as to what will be released - an album cover, promotional shots, a magazine spread? The possibilities are many and varied.
Fans were first alerted that something could be in the works when Louis posted the above picture on Instagram on May 2 with the caption "Sick shoot today with a proper nice crew ! Coming soon .....". This was followed by stylist, Lou Teasdale, posting pictures of an unknown location (suspected to be in London) with the caption "2nd job of the day not moaning". Fans later discovered that her first job of the day had been with Harry Styles as part of his promotional tour of the UK.
On May 8, the shoot moved to Doncaster and Louis, as always, took the time to take pictures with fans as he moved to different locations around the city with Oli and his crew, changing into multiple outfits throughout the shoot.
On May 20, he returned to Doncaster, this time to film a music video for his yet to be announced next single, which he confirmed on Twitter. The shoot had involved a casting call for local Doncaster children and teenagers (full Twitter thread here). Current thoughts are that he has filmed at least one music video, possibly with singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha. Read more here.
Whatever he has in store for his fans, the anticipation is building and is rapidly reaching boiling point. Hopefully the wait won't be too long.
