Who's Who On Team Lou?

Earlier this week, The Sun confirmed that Louis Tomlinson has signed-on as a solo artist with Sony owned Syco Music (UK) and RCA Records (US). Whilst it had long been suspected in some circles that this was the route he would take, the confirmation reveals another piece of the puzzle that makes up Louis’ solo team. But who's who in team Lou?

Update: July 14, 2017 - Epic Records has announced that Louis has signed with them as his US label, not RCA records.

Update: May 3, 2018 - The Sun has reported that Louis has left James Grant Group and is currently searching for a new team. Louis is being courted by several management firms.

SONY

Louis is signed to Syco Music and Epic Records who are record labels under Sony Music Entertainment (SME). Sony is one of the "Big 3" record companies alongside Universal Music Group (UMG) and Warner Music Group (WMG). For additional context, Harry Styles is signed with Columbia who are under Sony, Niall Horan is signed with Capitol Records who are under UMG, and Liam Payne is signed with Capitol Records (UK) and Republic Records (US) who are also under UMG.

There has been no official announcement of Louis' signing from Sony and he has yet to be added to their website.

Update: July 10, 2017 - Louis has now been added to the Sony Music UK website as an artist and as Syco artist.

SYCO ENTERTAINMENT

Syco Entertainment is a joint venture between Simon Cowell and Sony Music Entertainment. Syco Entertainment has three main divisions, Syco Music, Syco TV, and Syco Film.

Syco Music has a roster of artists including One Direction, Little Mix, Fifth Harmony, and James Arthur. Syco TV operates The X Factor and Got Talent franchises. Syco Film has produced "One Direction: This is Us" and "One Chance", which starred James Corden as Paul Potts, who rose to fame on Britain's Got Talent.

Whilst there has been no official announcement from Syco Music about Louis' signing, Tyler Brown, Managing Director of Syco Music, tweeted this confirmation on June 7:

"Really excited that @syco will be working with @Louis_Tomlinson on new music. The new single is very special !!".

James Grant Group (FORMER agency as of May 3, 2017)

Louis signed with James Grant Group (JG) in June 2016, a talent management agency covering entertainment, sport, literary, and social talent sectors. The company has been steadily acquiring new strings to its bow including US based Hall or Nothing in late 2012 to add a music management division. Martin Hall, of Hall or Nothing, is famously known within the fandom as the "Mystery Coffee Guy" who was pictured with Louis in LA in June 2016 (see image below).

In March 2017, JG also acquired Deckstar, a US music management company with a special focus on electronic dance music and includes Steve Aoki on their roster. Deckstar was founded in 2006 by Lawrence Vavra, the late DJ AM, and Matt Colon. Both Matt and Lawrence are now shareholders in JG and Matt is also on the board. Matt is well known to Louis' fan base as an integral part of Steve's team.

Fans will be most familiar with JG representative, Russell Eslamifar (see image below), Louis' former manager, who escorted him on the 'Just Hold On' promotional tour of LA and NYC. Russell previously worked as a Creative and Media Manager at Syco Entertainment until he joined JG in June 2014.

Jasper Waller-Bridge (see image below) has been listed as Louis' new manager on the JGG website as of the end of 2017. Jasper was publicly seen out with Louis and Louis' friend / PA, Oli Wright at a LA Galaxy VS LAFC game on March 31, 2018.
